Latest COVID-19 Update from
Lori Thompson, President/CEO
Posted: May 15, 2020
On behalf of our staff and Board of Directors, I hope this email finds you healthy as we all navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to monitor the NC Department of Health and Human Services data to help us determine our next steps in getting back to business as usual.
LIMITED LOBBY SERVICE
On Monday, May 18th, we will begin allowing limited access to our lobbies. Services available will be:
- Loan Closings
- New Accounts
- New Memberships
Appointments can be made by contacting your local branch.
All other services will continue to be offered through our drive-thrus. Appointments are encouraged as we have instituted a maximum number of members that can be in our lobbies at any given time, depending on the size of the branch. Please keep in mind that appointments will not be made for services that can be handled through the drive-thru.
We have seen a significant increase in Online Services since the middle of March. Some of you may have been hesitant to use electronic services in the past. We hope that you have found these to be beneficial in providing a safe and convenient alternative to avoid wait times.
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE LOAN
We have extended our Emergency Assistance Loan offering through May 31, 2020. (Special Offer Ended May 31, 2020)
We are taking the necessary precautions to minimize the opportunity for COVID-19 transmission in our facilities:
- Social distancing floor markers and reminder signs are being placed in all of our branches.
- Signs are in place to request anyone who is symptomatic to not enter the building.
- Maximum building occupancy has been and will continue to be reduced until further notice.
- Sneeze guards are being installed at all teller stations and in offices.
- High touch areas in the branches will be disinfected on a periodic basis.
As always, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to serve you. Our dedicated employees are ready to help you with financial needs, especially during the most challenging times.
We are all in this together!
