Premier CEO Named North Carolina's Person of the Year
Willie Combs, Premier Federal Credit Union's CEO, was
recognized as North Carolinas Credit Union Person of the Year
at the North Carolina Credit Union Leagues 72nd Annual
Meeting held June 10-13 in Pinehurst, NC. Award winners were
announced at a special banquet held Monday evening, June 11.

Receiving the Ronald J. Hutchins Credit Union Person of the
Year Award is one of the highest honors members of the credit
union profession can receive. The award is given each year to
an individual in recognition of his/her outstanding
accomplishments, time and effort given in support and
promotion of the credit union ideal.

Willie Combs accomplishments over the past 21 years range
from implementing a home equity loan program in 1987, to
the acquisition of the largest merger partner in North
Carolina history in 2004.

While beginning her career as a teller in 1986, Willie worked
diligently to grow with the credit union and was named
President/CEO of Premier FCU in January 2002. Willie was also
responsible for implementing Premiers checking and ATM
programs, which have been essential to our current success!
