PremierOnline System Maintenance! (Posted May 4, 2012)

New Phishing Virus - Be Aware! (Posted January 4, 2012)
There is another version of Zeus on the loose. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) recently issued an alert on a new version of the Zeus Trojan called Gameover, which is distributed via spear phishing attacks aimed at commercial accounts and ultimately lead to account takeovers. Emails purporting to be from NACHA (The Electronic Payments Association) inform the victim organizations of a failed ACH transaction. The victim’s computer is infected with the Trojan when they click on the link contained in the email.

Premier Returns Profits to Membership (Posted December 27, 2011)
Greensboro, NC – On January 1, 2012, over 7,600 members of Premier Federal Credit Union received 5% of the interest paid in 2011 on eligible loans*. Each member’s portion of the more than $230,000 given back was deposited into their savings account. This is the second year in a row that Premier has given a 5% rebate.
“The credit union philosophy as a financial cooperative is to return our profits to our members-owners. We are pleased to be in the financial position that afforded us this opportunity!” stated Lori Thompson, President and CEO. The decision to give the interest rebate was made by the Board of Directors at the meeting held in November with the announcement being made to the membership in the winter newsletter. “The response from our members has been very positive.” said Thompson, “Some were calling before year end in anticipation of how much their rebate would be. Now that it has posted, they are even more excited. This is a great way for us to thank them for their business!” said Thompson.

Premier FCU 2012 Annual Meeting (Posted December 22, 2011)
Premier Federal Credit Union's 2012 Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 4:00 PM at our Corporate Office location in Greensboro, NC.
At the Annual Meeting, you'll receive information on our performance over the past year. It's also a great time to get involved and make a difference, so be sure to set aside some time to attend. Having not received any nominations by petition, no elections will be held at this year's meeting.

2011 Season of Giving: Premier FCU Staff Raises over $1200! (Posted December 10, 2011)
Premier Federal Credit Union's staff took the holiday spirit to new heights this year by raising over $1200 for various charitable organizations across the Carolinas. Premier's 2011 Season of Giving will benefit Family Service of the Piedmont, the Salvation Army, Loaves and Fishes and Kings Mountain Crisis Ministry. "It is such an inspiration to know our team conveys the fundamental credit union philosophy of 'People Helping People'" said An Strickland, Premier FCU Charity Committee Chair. "Words cannot express our grattitude for all the support given by our members and staff."
